We have known each other for about a year, but when we first met - we were out with friends and i had just broken up with my boyfriend of a year a month before, and his girlfriend of 2 years broke up with him a month before also. He is friends with my friends so we got a long, and we ended up kissing.
I want to kiss him and have a fling with him, either meaningful or not - no strings attached if he wants it that way, I am just so attracted to him that I cannot do nothing. And i know that if something does happen, it wouldn't ruin our friendship because that's how i friendship began and it isn't like I would over think it and want more if he doesn't.
I don't know how to let him know that I want him? Either no strings attached or something more meaningful. And i don't know how to find out if he thinks of me as just a friend or if he wants more?

If you're going out of your way to be a little nicer, so he won't feel hurt about you not liking him back, then yes your leading him on.
But if you treat him , just as you would treat any of you casual friends. Then it should be clear, if not.. Let him know that hes just a "friend"
Dropping the, "you're a good friend to talk to"
Or " i don't know how i could manage to have fun without a friend like you"
If you do actually have a crush on this other guy then that is all it is, a crush. You will get over it. But you said it yourself, you love your boyfriend. You can appreciate other guys, that does not mean you love your boyfriend any less.

One simple tip
Just go with the flow.
And tell him that you like him and enjoy his company in any way possible.
I am not going to give you any lines for you to do it
Express your interest in any way with little wits added to it.
And tease him a little.

Add a bit of thrill, let him go after you and don't give that much hint that you like him. Enjoy life.
