I have never been in a serious relationship. I have dated, but things have never been taken too far, physically or otherwise.
Things have just never really worked out for me. The guys I like don't like me back, and the guys that like me I don't like back. I feel like it has gotten to the point where I have become too independent, I am so used to being on my own.
I believe that because of the lack of relationships in the past you have closed that gap within yourself to let anyone in. If a relationship is really what you want the by all means try and open yourself.
If you like to hang out with friends and such all the times then maybe you're just not ready to commit to one now.
However when the time comes it will be worth it. Knowing that you can come home to someone that understands your feelings, that will be there compassionately, and someone that will love you back. It's great.
Try being friends first. Are you nervous going out with good friends? I doubt it. Try to be his best friend first and take it from there. Now what do you do when you have a friend?
Bottom line: Sometimes men would call you. Sometimes you call them to go out and do something together. You are there for each other in times of crisis. You show each other you care when the other person is hurting.
