I've met a girl recently who is very attractive. She's cute, kind of shy, depending on the circumstance. She is talkative over the phone, but not in person. She appears quiet with me although pretty loose around her other friends.
The two of us playfully tease each other and joke most of the time. At times when she needs it, she can get pretty personal with me. She has a boyfriend. What should I so?
Whether you want to or not, you should think if this relationship might stand a chance. That doesn't mean "forget her". That means you should not allow her to flirt with you, the way you got hurt afterwards.
You should not flirt with her. You can be a friend without flirting with her. You have strong feelings for her, but still, she has a boyfriend. If I were you, I'd also ask myself if I wanted the type of girlfriend who would flirt with other guys when I wasn't around.

Don't allow yourself to be in denial. She is attracted to you. She wants to have her cake and eat it too. If you think that she loves her boyfriend and takes this chit chat as a game, you should ignore her attempts to flirt with you.
Bottom line: Is that the kind of girlfriend you want? Be careful what you wish for. If I were you, I would socialize with friends and hope to meet someone who is available for a date. . She is not available, and you should stop letting her play these little flirting games with you.
Since she isn't available, that is all they are: games. Don't let her toy around with you any longer. She knows she can't date you. She should flirt with her boyfriend, and leave you alone.
